Outreach

I view mathematics as a form of mental sport. Early exposure to, and equitable access to, this mental sport allows K–12 students to explore their interests and strengths and to develop problem-solving skills that open a wide range of future career pathways. The goal of this outreach is not to maximize contest results or prizes, but to provide students with meaningful opportunities to engage with mathematics at an early stage. Without such exposure, many students may lose access to potential academic and professional directions before they are even aware those paths exist. I am fortunate to have opportunities to work with my colleagues and dedicated local school educators on after-school activities.
